Well not quite! – However, a finishing position of third in the Clegg League Division 2 did ensure that Collingwood Bowling Club is promoted and shall be playing in Division 1 of the league during 2019.

It was a nail biting finish to the final match against Portland Bowling Club who gave us a fight to remember right to the very end.

Collingwood is now preparing for the finals of the Inter-club competitions, once again the competitive play during the matches leading up to the finals has been intense between all of the players taking part.

At the moment, it is most difficult to predict who will be our club champions this season, as all of the finalists in the matches are so closely matched.

Men’s Club Championship: Martin Hayden v Allan Hall.

Ladies Club Championship: Kate Adie v Pat Thompson

2 Bowl: George Hogg v Alan Hall

4 Bowl handicap: Sam Cave v Martin Hayden

Bob Miller Trophy: Scott Elliott v Rob Pringle
